The study aimed to determine the bioecology and identity of B. tabaci on aquatic ornamental plants, such as Hygrophila difformis, Anubias nana, and Echinodorus bleheri. The research was conducted by observing the bioecology of B. tabaci in the field and continued to identify morphologically and molecularly. The results showed that all aquatic ornamental plants were hosts of B. tabaci. The white flying B. tabaciimago in the field indicated the presence of eggs and nymphs on aquatic ornamental plants. Eggs and nymphs were<br>distributed on almost all leaves, but tended to be dominant on the upper leaves. Eggs were dominant in the third leaf and nymphs were dominant in the fourth leaf in H. difformis. Meanwhile, eggs and nymphs were dominant in the first leaves of A. nana and E. bleheri. Eggs could only be observed a microscope with a minimum magnification of 50× and nymphs with a minimum magnification of 20×.
