ABSTRACT
Exports of the husked coconut fruits from Indonesia has experienced a number of problems, including the presence of Notification Non-compliance (NNC) from export destination countries because the part of consignment infested by house flies and mites. The requirement of treatment of methyl bromide (MB) 32 g / m3 with 24 hours exposure time which is difficult to fulfill because allegedly going to damage the coconut fruit. Treatment with lower doses and short exposure times is needed, therefore testing its effectiveness and its effect on the husked coconut fruit with Caloglypus sp. mites as a test organism. The results it is known that fumigation MB with a dose of 32 g when exposed untin 20 hours is not effective and fumigation with dose 32 g and 24 hours of exposure time its effective to eradicated Caloglypus sp and non significant effect caused damage compared by the control. .
